1 Flapjacks Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, milk and egg yolks into a batter, do not overmix. Beat the egg whites to a soft peak and gently fold into the batter.

2 On a medium-heat skottle, cook the flapjacks with butter. Flip when light golden brown.

3 Pecan nut brittle In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, water, butter and corn syrup and bring to a boil.
