We give new life to an old favourite. Retro recipes are appearing everywhere on social media. Here’s our contribution to the mix. You can flavour the cake to your liking and even use your favourite ice cream.
1. Cake Prepare the cake batter according to the package instructions and stir in the almond essence (if using). Divide between the prepared baking tins and bake according to the package instructions until done – a skewer inserted in the middle of the cakes should come out clean.
2. Turn out on a wire rack to cool completely, then return the cakes to the baking tins.
