Of the many Moroccan sweet treats I tasted while visiting the country, these deliciously nutty fritters were among my favourites. The popularity of my version, served as a dessert at The Africa Café, never seems to fade.

1. In a pot, bring the butter, milk, water, honey and salt to a boil. 

2. Add the flour and, to avoid lumps from forming, stir vigorously for 5 minutes until a stiff dough forms. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool.
