If you are quietly working on an idea or a plan which you think will make a significant difference to your workload, continue doing so but keep these thoughts to yourself. Sharing it prematurely may see the essence of it watered down or undervalued. A friend needs a listening ear and empathy, luckily you are good at giving practical and realistic advice. Remind yourself that unsolicited advice is never called for, so assess if needed.

As someone who really enjoys being part of a group, whether with friends or with your team at work, this is an excellent week for anything that is group related. You have a chance to display your leadership qualities, so now is not the time to be shy and retiring. You may so impress the powers that be, that a financial reward may be forthcoming. Alternatively, this could be a good time for a remuneration discussion.
