One of the biggest changes resulting from the coronavirus pandemic worldwide has been employees working from home rather than at an ­office. Remote work is the new word for it.

The South African Revenue Service (Sars) gets a lot of ­queries regarding expenses such employees may deduct from tax for a home office as they’re now using their personal resources for work.
