He woke to the sound of a fist hammering on his front door. It was the police – again. Louis Jolly was being relentlessly pursued by the cops, but his attempts to prove he wasn’t the violent stalker that his ex claimed he was, fell on deaf ears.
For five agonising months Louis (22) found himself subject to repeated visits from the police, often ending in his arrest, as he was accused of threatening, harassing, and stabbing his former girlfriend, Courtney Ireland-Ainsworth.
And it wasn’t just her say-so that had police beating on his door: they presented evidence too – threatening messages and posts on social media sites, which Courtney said he’d sent her.
