Well, this is one way to receive presents.
Takashi Miyagawa from Kansai, Japan, was recently dubbed a serial dater after seeing more than 35 different women at the same time in an attempt to receive gifts from all of them for his “birthday”.
He reportedly told each woman his birthday was on a different date to ensure a constant supply of presents throughout the year.
In total, Takashi defrauded the unknowing women of items worth 100 000 Japanese Yen (around R13 177). The gifts included clothing, electronics and cash.

The part-time salesman met most of his victims while working at a marketing company, selling hydrogen water showerheads. The 39-year-old reportedly targeted single women and promised them that he would marry them in the future.
“I told him, ‘I don’t want to do that unless [you] are someone who wants to get married and really be with me in the future’,” one woman says, recalling how Takashi kissed her on their second date.
Takashi responded, “I’m
serious. I’m going to be with you for the rest of my life.”
After realising that something was fishy, the women formed a victims’ association group before going to the police in February to inform them about the scam.

According to New York Daily News, one of the victims informed the police that Takashi told her that his birthday was in April, while another woman thought his birthday was in July.
He was recently arrested for fraud, but local police are still investigating the case in hopes of finding more victims.
