She's been dubbed the Snow Princess and her face is splashed on billboards and glossy magazines across the vast Chinese capital.

Eileen Gu is undoubtedly the darling of the Beijing Winter Olympics and the poster child for a sport that requires skill, precision and nerves of steel.

The 18-year-old had the hopes of the host nation riding on her slim shoulders when she lined up for her final jump in the women’s big air freestyle skiing competition.
