They’re not called man’s best friend for nothing! A loyal golden retriever has become the latest internet pet sensation after saving his owner from taking a tumble while a tad under the weather.
Twenty-two-year-old Hannah Quintus from Iowa in the US recently staggered home after hitting the town with friends when her beloved pooch, Jax, came to her rescue.
The footage was captured by Hannah’s pet camera, which she uses to keep an eye on two-year-old Jax whenever she’s not at home. “Looking back at the footage I was kind of embarrassed, but I just thought it was really amazing and funny,” she says.
In the video clip a tipsy Hannah is seen adjusting pillows and trying to get into bed when she stumbles and sways. Though she tries to steady herself, Jax senses something isn't quite right and jumps up to support her.
The quick-thinking dog gently uses his paws to guide his owner safely onto her bed.
Hannah’s clip has been viewed over three million times on Tik-Tok alone, winning Jax new fans all over the world. The two are as close as two licks of paint, says Hannah, who’s had Jax since he was seven weeks old.
“Jax loves being held and constantly has to be touching someone. He's the best thing that has ever happened to me.”
