He seemed to come out of nowhere – but he certainly made his intentions and ambitions clear by trouncing a US mixed martial arts (MMA)  favourite. Now everyone in MMA is talking about the South African newbie, who made quite an impact during his second straight fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), which is the biggest MMA organisation in the world.

Dricus du Plessis is being billed as the one to watch.

The 27-year-old from Pretoria made new fans around the world recently when he knocked out crowd favourite US MMA star Trevin Giles in Las Vegas during a nail-biting televised second round.
