When Sanele Ngubo woke up on the morning of 21 July, his plan was to go about his usual business: dress to the nines, steal from cars and return home.
Little did he know that on that day he would be stealing from a person who would change his life – a businessman who ended up giving him a job instead of handing him over to the police.
Sanele, or Bheseni as those close to him call him, has been a thief for years after being “inspired” by his late older brother, Menzi Ntshalintshali, to follow a life of crime.
