She doesn’t pussy­foot around when it comes to her beloved Eros – he’s the light of her life, more like a child than a pet to her.

So when her blue-eyed boy was “ripped from my arms”, she wasn’t about to give up without a fight.

And now, eight years, hundreds of thousands of rands and many court appearances later, Alma van Zyl has finally won the claws-out struggle she embarked upon to get her treasured Sphynx cat home.
