Friday the 13th turned out to be a very lucky day for former Survivor contestant Annalize Sainsbury, who burst into tears when she learnt that her daughter’s cancer had gone into remission.

Her daughter, Jemma (16), was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma last year. It is a cancer of the lymphatic system, which is part of the immune system.

“I burst into tears with relief,” Annalize says as she tells YOU about the good news from Mediclinic Constantiaberg in Cape Town where she is accompanying Jemma for her final session of chemotherapy.
