Grief-stricken mom left without answers as her husband dies after he was accused of poisoning their sons

Veli Ngcongwane was admitted to hospital under police guard after allegedly attempting suicide following the suspicious deaths of three of his children. But now he too has died, denying his distraught wife the answers she craves.

"The South African Police Service can confirm that Veli Samuel Ngcongwane, the father charged with the murder and attempted murder of his children following a poisoning incident, has died in hospital on 10 June," Gauteng police spokesperson Briagadier Brenda Muridili said.

At the time of his death, Veli (39) was under police guard at a Gauteng hospital where he was admitted after an alleged suicide attempt.
