When his father passed away after contracting Covid-19 while recovering in hospital from hip-replacement surgery, Ricky Maharaj was devastated.

“We couldn’t view the body because of Covid-19 protocol,” he says.

The funeral arrangements for Chundersen Maharaj had to follow the strictest protocols and the Maharaj family did everything in accordance with the law.
