This cat sacrificed his freedom for other furry felines.

Quilty the cat from Texas in the US is spending much of his nine lives in solitary confinement after he was found guilty of freeing his four-legged furry friends at the Friends for Life Animal Rescue and Adoption Organisation, Metro reported.

The six-year-old shorthair domestic was banished to a “Quilty-proofed” cat room in the lobby, the animal shelter shared in a Facebook post.

It seems this feline doesn’t quite believe in the existence of enclosures or doors. He also reportedly let the dogs into the house at his previous abode.

While Quilty may be guilty of freeing cats from their enclosures, many netizens have since advocated under the #FreeQuilty for his parole.

Unfortunately, according to Mirror his parole with the review board failed after Quilty “released himself” before he was returned to solitary confinement.
