This will certainly brighten your day!

In the midst of a global coronavirus pandemic and with a national lockdown, there are many ways to keep entertained with a bit of harmless fun that can bring a smile to kids, parents, partners and friends.

You can celebrate April Fool’s Day remotely and connect with a family member or friend while social distancing at home, New York Post says.

Here are five funny and harmless ways to prank your family during #Lockdown.

  1. Pretend to be typing for the longest time without sending the text

With absolutely nothing else to do, everyone has their eyes locked on their small screens, which means family and friends will be looking forward to your never-ending text.

By doing this, according to the New York Post, you’ll have them asking themselves a number of questions: What are they going to say? Will they ever press send? Why does it feel like they’ve been typing for an eternity?

But what they don’t know is, instead of typing a long message, you actually send them a GIF of three dots constantly loading.

  1. Glass half-full

Lay breakfast out for your family in the morning – but with everybody's drinks upside down.

To do this, fill a glass with water and then put a card over the top. Put the glass face down on the table, and then very quickly pull out the card, according to Cool Science Experiments.

  1. The farting prank

There's nothing more annoying (or embarrassing) than letting one go in front of people. Instead of actually passing gas, there are now farting apps that do the dirty work for you. This prank could work perfectly at the dinner table.

  1. Dirty nappy

If you have a baby in the house, melt a chocolate bar and put it into a nappy.

Call your spouse or other kids into the room so they can watch in horror as you taste the mess.
