What was meant to be a night of fun at a Halloween party, soon turned into a nightmare.

Michael Gaffney (21) from New Jersey in the US has been charged with reckless manslaughter after he allegedly killed Francis Garcia (19) following a night of “rough sex”, Metro reported.

Francis’ lifeless body was found in a parking lot not far from the home where the pair reportedly met at a Halloween party.

Her autopsy revealed she’d died as a result of compression injuries to the neck, according to Daily Mail.

The young man told authorities Francis had lost consciousness while they were having sex in the backseat of her car. This comes after the duo had reportedly taken prescription medication together.

Michael has since been held without bail and will appear at the Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey, The Sun reported.
