A man robbed a bank and a week later used the money to repay his loans from the same institution.

The robbery, which took place in Russia, was captured by CCTV cameras. The footage shows the suspect drawing his weapon before walking behind one of the desks to grab a bank clerk by the arm.

The man then proceeds to put his arm around the woman’s neck and demand cash from her colleague.

It’s estimated the suspect fled the scene with R275 000. He managed to escape but was arrested a few days later.

It was then discovered that the man used the stolen money to pay off numerous bank loans to the same bank he’d robbed.

He’s since been charged with robbery and could face a prison sentence of between eight and 15 years if found guilty.
