A mom died on her 21st birthday after getting her neck stuck in the closing window of her family car.

Yulia Sharko from ┼Żabinka in Belarus was attempting to get her two-year-old daughter out of the car through the vehicle’s half-open window, Mirror News reports.

In the process, the toddler pressed the automatic switch which proceeded to close the window and cut off the young mother’s air supply, according to police reports.

Soon after the freak accident, Yulia’s husband, Arthur, discovered her unconscious on 31 August, The Sun reports.

He then broke the window and pulled out her lifeless body.

Yulia, an account manager, was rushed to hospital but died eight days later, Daily Mail reports.

“Her brain suffered irreversibly due to clamped arteries,” according to a local report.

“The young woman was with her family at a friend’s house in the village of Staroe Selo,” Dmitry Ivanyuk of the Belarus Investigative Committee added.

“On 31 August around 4.30pm her husband found her unconscious, with her neck jammed by the window of the front left door of their family car.”

Police are currently investigating the accident.

Yulia and Arthur had two children, Margarita (4) and Arianna, together.
