Washing your hands has always been vital, but more so now than ever amid the coronavirus pandemic.

A video that’s gone viral on Twitter shows exactly why you need to follow recommended handwashing steps to a T.

Posted by Harjinder Singh Kukreja, it shows just how many spots you may be missing when washing your hands.

In the video hands are seen with gloves on and black paint is used to represent soap, reported Metro.

It shows that soap only spreads and cleans everywhere when you go through all steps of the handwashing process.

The video has reached more than 16 million views with many users loving the demonstration.

“Nice, now that’s a real education!” one commented.

“This is the best thing yet. Twenty seconds is pointless if you keep missing areas,” another added.

According to Vox, using soap and water breaks down the outer coating of the virus, making it inactive.

So keep washing those hands, and get into all those nooks and crannies.
