Love will conquer all.

Mary Daniel found herself in a pickle when she was unable to visit her beloved husband Steve in his nursing home as it was closed to visitors amid the coronavirus pandemic.

After 114 days apart, Mary became desperate to see him.

So when a job as a dishwasher became available at the care centre, the 57-year-old from Florida jumped at the opportunity.

According to PEOPLE,  Steve has early-onset Alzheimers and has been living in the memory care unit of the nursing home for almost a year.

Mary had visited her husband of 24 years almost every day before the pandemic resulted in nursing homes in Florida being closed to visitors.

The facility offered Mary the position of dishwater which she couldn’t refuse, CNN reports.

“I told them, 'I'm going to be the best dishwasher you've ever had, because I want to be here, because I need to be with him,’ ” she said.

Pre-pandemic Mary said she’d help Steve get ready for bed each night and they would watch TV together before she’d tuck him in.

“That was our set routine and then all of a sudden I'm gone," Mary said.

"And he doesn't know why. He can't understand why."

Mary said she tried doing window visits, but they upset her husband.

She may be getting to see Steve but she’s scrubbing floors, doing dishes and cleaning the kitchen just as any other dishwasher would.

“It is full on legit, I had to do a Covid test, a TB test, 20 hours worth of video training and a drug test," she said.
