He may be a blue blood, but it seems Prince William suffers from the same fast-food cravings as the rest of us mere mortals.
On Tuesday the future king of England was snapped peering into the window of a KFC restaurant in London, much to the delight of customers inside.
The opportunity didn’t pass the popular fast-food chain by, who quickly jumped on it and tweeted a photo of the prince looking in with the caption, “William whispered quietly to himself, ‘Oh, I just can’t wait to be wing’.”
They quickly followed up with another tweet about a missed opportunity for the 38-year-old’s new nickname, “I’m sad I didn’t call him His Royal Thighness in the main tweet tbh.”
Of course fans lapped it up on social media with many finding it hilarious.
William’s love for chicken is no secret. He’s admitted he loves roast chicken and has a soft spot for another fast-foot outlet, Nando’s – calling their spicy chicken “very good” back in 2018.
The prince was out in the capital for a joint engagement with his wife, Kate, to meet some of the 100 finalists of her Hold Still photography project that she launched in the UK during lockdown.
The duchess, who looked beautiful in a fire-engine red coat by one of her favourite labels, Alexander McQueen, launched the project in May in collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery, of which she is patron.
In September the mom-of-three, who is a keen photographer herself, helped to select the hundred finalists from over 30 000 entries.
This week the photos will go up on billboards, bus stops, train stations and shop fronts in London and remain there for the next month.
