This is surely one photo neither Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, nor Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, will be putting in the family album.
An image showing Meghan holding a copy of Irish U magazine while standing next to the mag’s deputy editor, Denise Cash, has resurfaced for the first time since the 39-year-old quit The Firm.
The snap was taken in 2014, two years before Meghan met Prince Harry (36) and featured a contribution she’d written for the publication at the time. The former actress was working on TV series Suits then and wrote an article about sunglasses.
But in what can only be described as fake news, the publication’s bold headline states that Kate was pregnant with twins!
Observers say the photo will also do nothing to strengthen Meghan’s case that she knew little about the British royal family before meeting Harry.
During the Sussexes’ sensational recent interview with Oprah, Meghan stated she went into their marriage naively and had no idea what life as a royal would be like.
“I didn’t grow up knowing much about the royal family,” she told the talk-show host before adding that she also “didn’t do any research about what being a royal would mean”.
She did know they were an important family though. In the run-up to her wedding, royal fans dug up an old photo of Meghan as a 15-year-old perched on a railing outside Buckingham Palace.
The photo was reportedly taken by a passer-by and showed Meghan and friend waiting to go on a palace tour. Hmm.
