Prince Andrew’s already damaged reputation has taken a further knock with the release of a bombshell new book.

Written by Canadian author Ian Halperin, it claims the 60-year-old prince was “obsessed with redheads” and slept with “at least a dozen beautiful women” procured for him by his late paedophile pal, Jeffrey Epstein.

Halperin claims to have spoken to many of the Duke of York's former lovers whose revelations are published in his book, Sex Lies and Dirty Money by the World’s Powerful Elite.

Speaking to entertainment website, Page Six, Halperin, whose 2009 book, Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson was a No 1 best-seller, said, “There is no doubt that Epstein provided girls to Andrew, and that was the reason they were friends.

“He had an obsession with redheads, and Epstein would have his scouts combing the streets for the most beautiful redheads before they met.”

He adds one woman told him Andrew had a sex addiction “because he was always second to Prince Charles”.

“He compared his relationship with his brother to William and Harry. William is looked at as royal material, just like Charles, whereas he and Harry were the bad boys.

“This led to his playboy lifestyle. He wasn’t getting attention, it made him feel special to get these beautiful women in his bed.”

According to the website, Halperin said he uncovered no evidence that the father of Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice had sex with underage women.

A source close to Andrew has slammed the book, which is now on sale on Amazon, as “sensationalistic” and a blatant money-maker.

“Both in style and substance, many of these anonymous recollections seem sensationalised from people lacking the conviction to attach their names to them, though the emphasis on consensual, adult relationships is an important one.

“As for allegations in regard to the nature of [the] duke’s relationship with Epstein, these unsubstantiated and lurid tales seem designed to sell books.”

Halperin – an investigative journalist-turned-author and documentary maker – says his new book will reveal the “real story” of Andrew’s relationship with the billionaire paedophile, who committed suicide in prison last year.

He believes it will put pressure on Andrew to talk to the FBI who are currently investigating Epstein and his “madam” and ex-girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell (58), who was arrested in July.

In an interview on US radio, Halperin said the book “is going to shed a lot of light”.

“l'll say one thing after my book, if Prince Andrew is not finally interrogated by the Feds, we've got a major problem because I'm unleashing a ton of never-before-revealed stuff.”
