Doesn’t time fly? Seems like just yesterday Princess Charlene and Prince Albert of Monaco were welcoming their pigeon pair into the world – now the kids are six years old.
In a sweet post on her Instagram account, the former Olympic swimmer wished Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella. “Happy 6th birthday,” she wrote. “My beautiful children.”
The 42-year-old Benoni-raised beauty accompanied her message with two photos showing the twins, herself and Albert (62) around a candlelit birthday cake among other sweet treats and some gifts.
While mom and dad were dressed formally with Charlene in an elegant cream outfit and Albert in a suit, the twins were casual with Jacques in what appeared to be a Dalmatian-print onesie and Gabriella in a fuzzy pink and white one.
In a playful gesture, Jacques rested one hand on his dad’s head.
Last year the twins had a Smurf-themed birthday party and Charlene posted a sweet video message from the twins to their grandmother (her mother, Lynette Wittstock) in South Africa.
The year before the twins had a superhero-themed bash complete with a fire engine visit from Monaco’s fire department. However, such festivities will likely not happen this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
