It’s finally here – the trailer for the new season of the hit royal show.

The highly anticipated fourth season of The Crown is set to hit Netflix on 15 November, much to the delight of fans.

“Something as important as the monarchy simply cannot be allowed to fail,” Olivia Colman’s Queen Elizabeth says over shots of the monarch on horseback.

One of the highlights is the 1981 wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles and the trailer shows a hint of the nuptials with Diana – played by 24-year-old British newcomer Emma Corrin – in her iconic wedding dress as she walks towards a door.

Season four picks up in the late 1970s and follows Her Majesty’s relationship with UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson) and the doomed marriage of Charles (Josh O’Connor) and Diana.
