Prince William has been keeping in top-top form during lockdown. Tanned, lean, smiling, relaxed… clearly hanging out in the country with his wife and kids is good for the second in line to the throne.
William’s glowing good health was evident in a recent video post made in support of a virtual marathon to replace the real deal that usually happens in Kenya. The duke (38) will be taking part in the event, which is in aid of his conservation charity Tusk Trust and has seen supporters running, walking or cycling distances between 4,8 km and 41,8 km around the world.
While Will says he is delighted to be taking part, he’s also relieved not to be keeping fit in Africa’s “altitude and heat,” according to PEOPLE.
In the video posted to Tusk Trust’s Twitter, William looks great in a white polo shirt which shows off his golden tan.
“I’m also about to do a run myself, as part of this virtual challenge,” he says.
“Like many of you, I’m very sad not to be able to do this run in Lewa’s beautiful surroundings [in Kenya] – but also rather relieved to have been spared the altitude and the heat."
is not a race, there is no stopwatch. It is our way of showing Africa’s
conservation community that we’re all in this together,” The royal adds.
The duke of Cambridge has been a patron of Tusk Trust since 2005.
Funds raised by the virtual race event will go towards supporting the men and women at the frontlines of conservation in Africa.
