Time alone. When was the last time you had some? If you have kids to take care of, chances are it’s a luxury you rarely have. And of course with lockdown largely keeping us confined to our homes for the past months, time alone was particularly hard to come by.

But it’s precisely now that making time for yourself is important. The coronavirus pandemic has turned the world upside down and made many of us feel anxious. Studies have shown that time alone can help us feel calmer and happier.

It might feel like an impossibility when you’re juggling family life, working from home, the kids’ schooling, cooking and running the household, but the benefits are worth it, experts say.
