A one-year-old girl from Japan, who went viral last year on social media owing to her beautiful full hair, got her modelling debut as the star of a new Pantene advertisement, People reports.

In an interview with the news outlet, Ooshiaki Okura, P&G Japan Hair Care’s associate brand director said that after seeing snaps of little Chanco’s hair he was really impressed.

"We feel [Chanco's] beautiful hair has strong power that makes people positively move forward," he told People.

“We went straight to her mother because Chanco's personality and special character matches our image of women we want to support. We also support her mother’s positiveness to post wonderful moments with Chanco,” he added.

Baby Chanco has more than 300 000 followers on her Instagram account that’s managed by her mother and has gained attention since the first picture her mother, Mami Kano shared of her in May 2018.

Mami says she was really shocked by the response her baby girl’s hair got, The Epoch Times reports.

“I’m so surprised with the reaction, but also very proud of the praise from many countries,” she said.

The little one is also featured in her very own digital movie called The Hairy Tale.
