We caught up with some local personalities at this year’s Nicci Boutique Street Style Spring Summer Collection launch at their Hyde Park store to find out what’s on trend for them this spring.

Here’s a pick of their Spring/Summer must-have fashion items:

Radio personality and entertainer Taryn Louch

“A colourful blazer and lots of embelishments, like scarves, headwraps and layering, because it’s not warm enough yet to go without a jacket, so maybe a nice lightweight jacket.”

Singer Cara Frew: Definitely colour

“So, I’m very into my lumo colours at the moment, I even have my own range of Cara Jeans that I paint myself.

“We’ll be going into summer, we have to keep that in mind. Spring is just a transition into summer for me. I love things that are really easy to wear, like a little dress.”

Model and stylist Tshepi Vundla

A good pair of sandal heels, in bright colours, and a good denim jacket for those chilly summer nights.”

Chef and TV personality Luyanda Mafanya:

“Right now I’m very into skirts, I love them. I’ve had so many different types, I think it’s important to have a nice variety of skirts.”

TV and radio personality Luthando Lootlove Shosha

“I’ve never really been into dresses, but I think a maxi dress is a must-have, with flowers and flowy. No bra, absolute freedom!”

Actress Jay Anstey

“I have no idea what the fashion trends are for this season. But I hear a sorbet palette is in, so I’ll wear a lot of yellow.”
