Cape Town - The Duke of Cornwall’s favourite foods aren’t what you might have expected!

Asked by MasterChef host Gary Mehigan what the Prince of Wales’ firm favourites are, Camilla replied that he is a “huge cheese fan” and loves local cheese, Express reports.
Her husband also adores anything with eggs as well as certain local vegetables, she added.
When asked what food item would never be served at a royal dinner the 70-year-old swiftly responded: “I hate to say this, but garlic. Garlic is a no-no.”
Mehigan said he supposed this was because the royals wouldn’t want to have bad breath when talking to people.
“Exactly! You just have to lay off the garlic,” the Duchess said, according to Hello!

Camilla further revealed that her grandchildren are addicted to tomato sauce and that she always keeps some in her kitchen cupboard, along with olive oil and tomatoes which are among her personal favourite ingredients, Daily Mail reports.
But according to Mamamia, an Australian women’s website, many viewers tweeted that they were disappointed Prince Charles wasn’t seen eating any of the canapés on offer.
“Promotion all week ‘Cook for Prince Charles’ except he doesn’t eat anything. EPIC FAIL #MasterChefAU,” one tweeted.
“Kinda anticlimatic that they make such a big deal about cooking for Prince Charles and we don’t even see him actually eating #masterchefau” added another.

While he wasn't seen tasting anything, the Prince of Wales did have a few words of encouragement for contestants on the show: “It’s always worth competing, even if you don’t win, isn’t it?”
