Beauty may only be skin-deep, but if you're Kim Kardashian, it's often pretty painful too.

The reality TV star and mom of four has been sharing pics of her tummy after undergoing a non-surgical tummy-tightening procedure called Morpheus8.

The popular laser treatment rejuvenates the texture and tone of the skin, quickly producing visibly tightened skin.

Kim (41) shared the laser procedure on her tummy in an Instagram video. As her skin becomes red, she says it's "painful, but worth it".

"This is a game changer!!!" she wrote. "I did Morpheus laser to tighten my stomach."

The success of the treatment on the SKIMS founder's stomach area is clearly evidenced in recent bikini photos in which she flaunted her enviable physique.

Depending on the size and the number of body areas being treated, a single Morpheus8 session can cost between $900 (R15 000) and $1,200 (R20 000).

The beauty mogul’s most recent procedure comes after she recently showed off her morning skincare routine, baring her make-up free face.

She posted a video on Instagram in which she demonstrates how she exfoliates her face using the SKKN by Kim exfoliator.

Kim and her sisters are well known for dabbling in various beauty treatments. In 2013, Kim and Kourtney underwent a Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) facial treatment, also known as the vampire facial. Blood is drawn from the patient, processed to separate the plasma, and then injected or micro-needled into the skin.

And yes, it's about as uncomfortable as it sounds.

“My show was also filming the treatment, so I felt I couldn’t chicken out. It was honestly the most painful thing ever!” Kim later admitted.

Kim uses a wide variety of treatments to maintain her youthful look.

“I did lymphatic drainage, microdermabrasion, and oxygen," she told US Weekly magazine earlier this year.

"We did some ultrasound and tightening. I did lifting with a remodelling machine. There was LED incorporated with microcurrent. It was pretty epic.”
