Too blond, too short, too ugly, too rough – all these labels and more were hurled his way when news broke he’d been cast as the most famous fictional spy of all time.

James Bond was supposed to be tall, dark and suave, people protested. He’s supposed to be charismatic and sexy, dry and dashing. Who on earth thought Daniel Craig could step into the shoes worn by the lofty likes of Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan? 

In no time, the website DanielCraigIsNotBond.com had sprung up where haters could hiss and froth.
