He doesn’t often share pictures of his children but in a moment of birthday joy John Travolta posted an adorable snapshot of him hugging his youngest son, Ben.
“Happy 10th birthday my wonderful Ben! I love you!” the 66-year-old actor wrote on Instagram.
Fans were quick to point out how much the youngster looks like his mother, actress Kelly Preston, who died in July after a two-year battle with breast cancer.
The Pulp Fiction star has certainly suffered his fair share of tragedy. In 2009 he and Kelly lost their eldest son, Jett, in 2009 to a seizure. He was just 16.
Earlier this year John posted a loving tribute on what would have been Jett's 28th birthday.
Ben was born a year later and John praised the little boy for helping the family to heal.
“He's given the house a renewed spirit and purpose,” he told People magazine in 2011.
In a 2016 interview with Good Morning America, he reiterated that.
“Certainly having little Ben has been a beautiful kind of glue for us to rebound after a tremendous loss.”
Ben’s big sister, Ella Bleu (20), also posted a poignant tribute on Instagram. “Happy Birthday Benjamin!!!! To the sweetest boy in the world, I am so lucky to have you in my life.
“Even though I am your older sister, you continue to teach me so much every day. You are my best friend and I love you to the moon and back.”
