When it comes to music, there are South African specials guaranteed to get just about anyone grooving – and Hollywood hotshot Vin Diesel agrees that SA’s local is lekker!

The actor shared his first video on TikTok, showing him getting down to Vulindlela by Mzansi legend Brenda Fassie.

The Fast and Furious superstar explained in an Instagram post that the song lifted his spirits when he first heard it two years ago, when he was in Cape Town shooting the blockbuster movie Bloodshot.

Vin (53) explained that his mom, Delora Vincent, was with him in SA during the shoot to celebrate her birthday, and he had made dinner plans for her special evening, but when filming ran late, they were unable to go out and celebrate.

The Bloodshot crew decided to cheer him up with a special dedication.

“The whole crew blasted this song and lifted my spirits through the roof,” he says in the post.

In the clip, Vin dances alongside professional Afro-dancer, choreographer and vlogger Nifé A, @itsjustnifee. “SA vibes with my Nigerian sister,” he captioned the video.

The Riddick actor says he’s loved the song since that day, as always reminds him of his time in our beautiful country.
