Will Young on his twin’s suicide: ‘I was a carer for him but it became too much’

Will Young, the first winner of UK Pop Idol, says his twin brother, who recently killed himself, had “become too much” to care for.

Will’s twin, Rupert, committed suicide by jumping from Westminster Bridge in Central London, after two decades of battling mental-health issues.

At the inquest into his brother’s death, the Evergreen singer (41) explained that caring for Rupert had taken its toll on him.
