It definitely wasn’t how he’d pictured his wedding would be. When Emmanuel Castis imagined tying the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Sharlene Economou, he envisaged lots of dancing, maybe some plate throwing and being surrounded by friends and loved ones – in short, a big fat Greek wedding.
But then a global pandemic hit, and all of this was suddenly out of the question. And yet with a baby on the way, the actor, who is of Greek descent, and his fiancée were determined that the wedding would go ahead, even if it had to be a much smaller affair.
So in early February they sealed the deal in an intimate ceremony with just a marriage officer and seven family members and friends in attendance followed by a low-key lunch at Sharlene’s cousin’s home.
