Cape Town - The rumoured road to the wedding chapel for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry seems to be getting shorter by the day. Now it’s emerged the Suits star has apparently quit her TV role – reportedly to focus on becoming a royal fulltime!
The 36-year-old American actress who’s played feisty paralegal Rachel Zane in the show since 2011 has apparently already told TV bosses that she’s not coming back for the eighth season next year.
“Meghan knows she can’t really act at the same time as being a princess and is happy to make this career sacrifice.
She really enjoys her charity work with Unicef and will broaden her charity commitments when she becomes a full-time royal,” a source told The Daily Star.
The timing couldn’t be better as the brunette beauty wraps up filming the current season of Suits next month. It’s widely speculated she and Harry (33) will announce their engagement before the end of the year.
Meanwhile the lovebirds are already said to be house-hunting in the UK, in particular in the picturesque Cotswold area in Oxfordshire.
Harry’s father, Prince Charles, has his residence, Highgrove House, in the Cotswolds and Meghan is said to be enthralled by the area’s rustic charm.
“He’s searching for a new home in the area,” a friend of Harry’s reveals. “Before Meghan, he was vaguely looking in Norfolk, but didn’t find what he wanted. Now, with her input, he’s renewed his search.”
