Cape Town - Priyanka Chopra never thought she and Nick Jonas would ever be together.

Speaking at the 10th Annual Women in the World Summit in New York, the 36-year-old actress spilled the beans on her relationship with the 26-year-old Jonas Brothers band member, People reports.

The Quantico star revealed she originally didn’t think she would say 'I do' to the Sucker singer and said his romantic side pleasantly surprised her.

"I’ve known him for two years," Priyanka said at the summit. "I didn’t think this is what it [would’ve] turned out to be, and maybe that’s my fault, I judged a book by its cover.

"When I actually started dating Nick, he surprised me so much."

The actress went on to speak about what attracted her to the singer, the Times of India reports.

"I call him 'Old Man Jonas', That’s my name for him, OMJ.

"He’s such an old soul, extremely smart, so good for me because he grounds me so much. I’m a wild child, I do whatever I want whenever I want and he always supports me," she said.

Priyanka also recalled a night they went out with friends. She had to leave early but kept on hinting hoping that Nick would ask her to cancel her plans, according to the Inquisitr.

"Finally he took me aside and he’s like, 'Look, I’m not stupid. I know what you’re trying to do, but I will never be the one who’ll tell you to cancel work because I know how hard you’ve worked to be where you are'," she recalled.

"He gave me credit for what I’d done, it was just mind blowing for me."

Nick and Priyanka tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in India in December.
