J’Something has paid tribute to South African music legend Johnny Clegg in a rather special way.
The frontman of award-winning trio Mi Casa is well-known for his love of food and music – all of which he regularly shares on his social media timeline.
Recently the vocalist took to his Instagram page to share a short snippet of himself covering Johnny’s Asimbonanga as a tribute to the legend on 27 April, Freedom Day.
Sending love to his fans, the musician encouraged his followers to keep smiling through this tough time and assured them better days are coming.
“My wife asked me to sing her this song today and asked if I could make a video. So I did. Thought I’d share it with you guys too.” J captioned his post.

The singer says that music has helped him cope during the national lockdown.
“Music is all I know . . . It’s one thing being alone and scared but if there is any comfort that I can offer you is that I am here with you . . . wishing and hoping for a better day.
“All I can do from my home is sing to you, encourage you, try and soothe your soul,” he wrote.
The Summer Time singer continues to work with his band members, even launching music during the lockdown, but he also makes sure to take time out to connect and spend virtual quality time with family.
