Cape Town - This royal might have his licence to kill soon!
Prince Charles was reportedly offered a cameo role when he visited the James Bond set in June, The Sun reports.
The heir to the throne, who also met 007 actor Daniel Craig, would be following in his the footsteps of his mother, who played a role in director Danny Boyle’s tribute to the iconic film for the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics, according to E News.
"They loved the buzz around the queen’s appearance alongside Daniel Craig and think Charles could top even that," a source close to the production team said.
"He’s the epitome of everything British, perfect for a cameo role and Bond fans worldwide would absolutely love it.
"When he visited the film set a few weeks ago it was discussed. Now he’s considering it.
"The producers are desperate to sign him. It’s no secret that the film has suffered a number of setbacks but landing a royal could be just what the movie needs."
If the Prince of Wales turns down the role, producers will reportedly approach his sons Princes William and Harry, News.com.au reports.
"If Charles doesn’t go for it Harry and Wills could be in the producers’ sights next," the source said.
