In her new memoir, Inside Out, actress Demi Moore opens up about the men who have broken her heart - from her father to Bruce Willis, Emilio Estevez and Ashton Kutcher.
Her father: She grew up thinking that her mother's husband, Dan Guynes, was her father but later learnt that her dad was actually Charles Harmon, an airforce pilot to whom her mom had been married for two months before Demi's birth.
Her first husband: She married musician Fred Moore, three months after turning 18. But it was doomed from the start. Demi admits that on the night of their wedding, instead of working on her vows she snuck off to hook up with a guy she'd met on a movie set. They divorced three years later
Rob Lowe: In his own memoir a few years ago, the actor claimed that he and Demi had a steamy romance on the set of St Elmo's Fire in the 80s. But Demi has no recollection of this. “I can vaguely recall one ill-advised late night together, but I’m grateful to him for the complimentary descriptions of our youth," she writes.
Emilio Estevez: She was briefly engaged to her St Elmo’s Fire co-star and in her book she reveals why they broke it off. “Emilio and I had in fact just mailed out the invitations for our wedding when a friend told me she had seen him out with someone else in LA,” Moore writes.
Bruce Willis: When she met him for the first time she thought him "a jerk". He started chatting her up at a film premiere and spent the evening being super-attentive, totally ignoring the poor woman he'd brought along as his date. Despite her reservations, Bruce grew on her. They married in 1987 and went on to have three kids together.
Ashton Kutcher: She reveals how she and the actor bonded over their mutual interest in Kabbalah when they met. But now, looking back, she says she should have seen the warning signs."I was a 40-year-old who had a big life,” she writes. “And Ashton’s adult life was just beginning — I didn’t see all that because I was inside of it. I just felt like a 15-year-old girl hoping somebody liked me.” But their marriage was no bed of roses. In her book Demi recounts her desperation to have a child with the star and her heartbreak after miscarrying. She also claims Ashton cheated on her, put pressure on her to have threesomes and did little to stop her lapsing into addiction again after two decades of sobriety. They eventually divorced in 2011, and Ashton wasted no time in moving on with actress Mila Kunis with whom he has a daughter, Wyatt (5), and son, Dimitri (3).
