Six Minutes to Midnight
Even though it ended 75 years ago, films based on little-known but astonishing true events that took place during World War II just keep coming. This film is set in 1939 at the August Victoria College, a finishing school for the daughters and goddaughters of the Nazi elite on the south coast of England. After the mysterious death of a teacher, Thomas Miller (Eddie Izzard) replaces him, but secretly tries to find out what happened. Izzard wrote the screenplay after learning about the little-known school when he visited the museum in his hometown, Bexhill-on-Sea. Acting legend Judi Dench plays the school’s headmistress and the cast includes Jim Broadbent and James D’Arcy.Age restriction: 10-12PG
