My husband is drinking alcohol every night and I can’t stand it. When he comes home he’s either half-drunk or fully sloshed and I get so angry that I start screaming at him and have to take the kids upstairs so they don’t see their father in such a state. It was easier for me to hide it from the children when they were smaller, but they’re now getting older.

The more I seem to nag my husband not to drink, the more he seems insistent on drinking. I’ve tried calling his parents when he’s drunk but recently they came over and started giving me a hard time and saying I’m always on his case. When I talk calmly to my husband about his alcohol abuse, he tells me it’s part of his job as he has to take clients out for dinner and socialise with them. This is ruining my marriage. What can I do?
