I was employed in the tourism industry by a company that owns game lodges all over Africa. Due to the slump in the tourist trade as a result of the pandemic I first had to take a cut on my salary then a couple of months ago I was retrenched.

I am the sole provider for my family – I have a wife and three children – and I have no family I can turn to for help as I was orphaned at a young age.

I’m feeling desperate and depressed because I’ve watched our money dwindle and I don’t know how I will be able to support my family.
