Scientists have confirmed the presence of water on the moon.
Researchers from American space agency Nasa have observed water molecules by measuring the wavelength by which sunlight is reflected off the moon’s surface. They suspect these molecules are trapped in tiny beadlike structures in the soil on the moon’s surface.
Though there are no large bodies of water or even flowing streams on the moon – they only found the molecules that water is made up of – this discovery is important when it comes to considering building a base on the moon.
