1 Meatballs Place the minced beef in a bowl, add half the cheese and half the parsley (reserve the rest), the breadcrumbs, egg, salt and cayenne pepper. Mix until well combined and shape into golf-ball-sized portions.
2 Heat half the oil in a large frying pan and fry the meatballs. Lower the heat so the meatballs sizzle but don’t burn. Cook until lightly browned, for about 6 minutes.
3 Tomato gravy In a large saucepan, heat the remaining oil and fry the onion and garlic until soft. Add the tomatoes and tomato paste, and cook for 2 minutes.
