The pandemic has ­resulted in a steep rise in medical-aid claims. Covid-19 is after all a prescribed minimum benefit* (PMB), which means medical aids must cover the cost of treating members for it.

But it doesn’t mean you can claim for every Covid expense that arises – everything still must comply with the guidelines of your fund.
