He's just six months younger than Queen Elizabeth yet he doesn’t look a day older than he did when the world first fell in love with him – proof that a lifestyle including pots of honey and plenty of feel-good fun with your friends works.

Winnie-the-Pooh, the beloved bear in AA Milne’s famous books, is celebrating his 95th birthday this month. And to commemorate a milestone year, Pooh and his trusty sidekicks – Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore and Christopher Robin – went to visit the queen, bearing gifts of honey and a bunch of 95 balloons.

It was an animated visit in the truest sense of the word: an illustrated celebration of the lives of two of the most famous nonagenarians in history.
